About Diane

During her career as a nurse, Diane maintained her life-long interest in the law. In 1988 she decided to enroll in the University of Akron School of Law, receiving her JD in 1991. Since that time she has served clients needing legal services in estate planning, estate administration and corporate law.

Diane’s expertise in corporate law has been enhanced by her experience as a business owner. Over a ten-year period she built VIP HomeCare, Inc., into a successful home health agency. She sold VIP in the spring of 2009 so that she could focus on her law practice and on a new enterprise, Home Health Care Success, a consultancy providing independently owned companies with guidance in operations and profitability.

“I lost two close family members within a short period of time. That experience has given me a new perspective on bereavement. Friends came over immediately, and family came in from out of town, but they all left the same day.

“My two sons and I were left, the three of us, just looking at one another and asking, ‘What do we do now?’ We muddled through that first weekend, but there was nothing out there for us. After that experience I started thinking, ‘There needs to be something else out there.’

“The two people I have on staff – a social worker and a nurse – are so compassionate and so knowledgeable about what’s available. They really would have helped me enormously. I’m so glad that they are part of my practice, so they can help my clients and their families in those difficult days after a death.”
